BROTHERS & SISTERS,

Two years ago we put together several tons of food and medicines for the churches in Venezuela. Our outreach helped countless families in the Punto Fijo area, strengthening and sustaining the church. Today, the church in Venezuela is much better off than it was two years ago. Things in Venezuela are still bad, but they are not quite so desperate as they were two years ago. Food is more readily available.

However, our brothers and sisters there still languish in poverty, and often must make difficult choices about purchases. Recently, Pedro and Luisa Andrade reached out to us and asked if we could send clothing for the children in the church. Too many of the families there are having to choose between buying their family food, and buying their children clothing for school.

We are putting together a shipment of clothing for children to send to Punto Fijo. We are hoping to send the boxes on Monday, October 11th. We need clean, lightly worn or new clothes for children. Because the climate in Venezuela is warm, we are asking for summer type clothes. We'll have boxes at the building the next two Sundays (October 3rd and 10th) where you can donate clothes.

Thank you for your generosity, for sharing what you have with our brethren who have less.
